Commission WIP

I’m running behind schedule on a commission because I didn’t like the first one and I’m doing a second. I started my process in the usual way on the first attempt by painting a burnt umber wash, waiting for it dry, and then painting using various browns. It didn’t work. I realized that the background had to be warmer, so I started the second attempt with cadmium orange instead (which took foreeeeever to dry). I think it works better with the blond, but I need to do a second pass and paint in the background flowers still. Lesson learned: you can’t do golden dogs like other dogs.
